After graduating from Sunderland University with a Degree in Art and Design (2001), Cathy made large scale paintings (198 x 142cms) using sponge rollers and oil paint on canvas as a way of conveying movement and music.
 
These paintings have been exhibited at Queens Hall, Hexham; The Biscuit Factory, Newcastle; Hexham Hospital, The Lakeside Gallery and Farm Shop,Yorkshire and The Hearth, Horsley.
